Home Office Desk and Monitor Setup

One of the nice things about working in Redmond/Bellevue is that the local Goodwill has REALLY NICE STUFF. I mean people here get rid of really nice furniture and antiques and you can pick them up for very little. recently I picked up a really nice antique roller desk chair with arms..Looks like this, and in perfect shape…This is in addition to the Desk I found a month ago at the same store.

One of the problems with Computer desks is the fact that when running many monitors, you kind of want the desk to wrap around you. I found a nice half-circle desk with a leather top. All I had to do to modify this was add 3 vertical wood supports, and I had the perfect mounting points for 3 floating monitors. See attached photos of the desk and the unique monitor mounting system.

The Costs associated with these are as follows.

  • Chair – $24.99
  • Desk – $79.99
  • Monitor Mounts ($34.95 x 3)

With the amount of time I spend in my Home Office, its good to be comfortable and have an Ergo-Friendly setup.
